It has been custom-designed, from the ground up, with our toddlers & their growing needs in mind. Celebrate and support generosity and philanthropy across the world by giving us any amount every Tuesday.

Each week the girls have one-hour life skills sessions discussing topics such as respect, the value of education, spiritual development, basic etiquette, etc. This home was established in 2005 and has the capacity to host 35 children. The Nairobi home was the first to be established, and can host 55 babies and children.

We exist to Rescue, Care & Place abandoned Children in Kenya.

This home was established in 2006 and has the capacity to host 25 babies. If children have not managed to be adopted by the time they are 5 we move them to “family homes” where they will grow up in groups as brothers and sisters in a family unit. New Life was there at the beginning and will be there until the children no longer need us. Send the little ones smiles with a contribution to enable us celebrate the children’s birthdays. These homes were set up to provide a suitable home for the older teenage children who haven’t been adopted. It was decided that this would be the best home for the three girls, aged 10 – 14 who were living in Kisumu.

Established in 1994, the organisation provides shelter for abandoned babies, and operates a children’s home for children up to 5 years while seeking reintegration and adoption for them. For more than 20 years, OneChild has partnered with New Life Home Trust in Kenya to rescue, care for and find loving adoptive homes for abandoned and vulnerable babies, including those affected by HIV/AIDS. Many of the children come to the home in need of medical intervention and are lovingly nursed back to health in the special care unit. Amani Cottage in Kisumu caters for children with complex disabilities, most of whom will need care for the rest of their lives. These girls, who were rescued by New Life as babies, were placed at Amani Cottage as they all had obvious physical disabilities. Two have been diagnosed with cerebral palsy while the third one has speech impairment and mild autism.

Babies and children at each New Life Home are cared for holistically, with attention to their physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. The Kenya and Kisumu homes are both dual licensed as children’s homes and medical centers, staffed by childcare providers, nurses and volunteer doctors.

Many newborn babies are left in market places, public parks, hospitals, and sometimes even latrines and trash collection centers. New Life Home partners with the Kenyan government to take in babies that are abandoned. Social workers and good Samaritans bring abandoned babies to the homes for critical care. The girls at Carmel House, many of whom attend boarding school, are quite active in their involvement at the home, while also engaging in local activities. The girls who have moved from Amani Cottage will have opportunities to take part therefore expanding their experiences in life.

That as they go into their teenage years, they will benefit from being with their fellow sisters and develop positive relationships with one another. Adjustments and adaptations will need to be made to the home to support the girls ongoing physical needs as well as equipment such as walking aids will need to be sourced. New Life Home partners with the Kenyan government to take in babies that are abandoned. Social workers and good Samaritans bring abandoned babies to the homes for critical care. The girls at Carmel House, many of whom attend boarding school, are quite active in their involvement at the home, while also engaging in local activities. The girls who have moved from Amani Cottage will have opportunities to take part therefore expanding their experiences in life.
